Recently, Pebble and I went exploring while her sisters were in school. The weather was beyond gorgeous and warm for November, so we checked out one of the playgrounds in Truxtun Park in Annapolis. The Pip Moyer Recreation Center is located within the park at 273 Hilltop Lane. When you pull into the lot for the Center, drive to the very back. There, next to the basketball courts, is a playground tucked up next to the woods. This playground is small, but the equipment is newly updated as of this past summer, and it packs a punch! FYI, closest bathrooms are within the Center. I brought our portable because when a kiddo says they have to go, there isn’t much leeway to find a bathroom!

This playground is divided into two parts. There is one large saucer type swing at one end of the playground. Multiple children could easily fit on it. Pebble loved laying on the swing either on her back, hands behind her head, or on her tummy, while I pushed.

Opposite from the swing is the climbing structure, which was amazing! There were multiple levels to clamber up onto and off. Bridges and pathways wound up and under, and everything was climbable!

Pebble had a blast! She was quick to tell me that she wanted to come back with her sisters to play longer. There are trails in the woods, too that we didn’t have time to explore this trip. This playground is worth checking out! Happy trails!

We spotted this guy near the playground, and we are glad he stuck to the woods’ edge!
