Through a mom’s group, I recently discovered a new gymnastics place had opened in Crofton, MD. The website advertises that the place is now providing open gym on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursday. Even better, the cost for one hour of open gym? $8! I asked Pebble if she wanted to try it, and she was excited! It was a cold and rainy day, not a good outdoor day!

International Elite’s address is 2404 Crofton Blvd., Crofton, MD 21114. Their location is just off Route 3 in an industrial building with multiple other businesses, including Chesepiooc Real Ale Brewery. You enter the building from the front. Parking is available on the street, and in back of the building. Masks are required, and they do have restrooms.

When we first entered the business, we were warmly greeted by the owners themselves. Both were friendly and personable, and one even started a conversation with Pebble. Big mistake as she will talk your ear off! LOL! I used my phone’s camera app to pull up the liability waiver, and was able to sign it on my phone. It was easy and straightforward. We were shown where the cubbies were for jackets, shoes, and, for the kiddos, socks. FYI, the cubbies are not in line of sight from the gym, so I hung onto my purse. Next time, I will go minimalist!

Once we entered the gym itself, I turned Pebble loose to play and explore. She made a beeline for the Tumbl Track, and this became a favorite that she returned to over and over again!

There was also a bounce house, and an obstacle course to follow. The course contained things to climb and jump, a balance beam, rope swing, a ball pit and more!

Bounce house! Even I got in!
One image of the space…. Bounce house is to my left, as is the rope swing. Tumbl Track, ball pit and more are on the other side of the “tunnel.”
Rope swing! Pebble didn’t want me to let go at first, but by the end of the hour, she was swinging by herself!
She was really good at this!
Where is Pebble?

The ball pit was a big hit, and Pebble didn’t want to leave it when the hour was up. She was convinced to leave when she heard that all the kiddos would get a stamp or lollipops. Pebble, and the other two children, chose the lollipops, no surprise!

My current plan is to return again next week for open gym. The classes the gym offers for Pebble’s age group also look like they’d be a lot of fun, too, and I may look into a trial class for her. I like that the place has rolling enrollment, and classes are billed on a month to month basis. They also offer birthday parties. If you get a chance, check this place out, I recommend it! Happy trails!
