What do you do when the weather is warm at the beginning of January? Get outside! Stormy and Rainbow had school, but my husband, Pebble, and I were free as birds. We asked Pebble which playground she wanted to go to, and Horspen was the winner! We had just been there with my folks in November, but she loves this playground and would go every week if I let her. Please see my blog posts from our other visits here for information on finding this gem of a playground! If you haven’t been it is worth a visit!

We only stayed about an hour at the playground this time, but it worth it! Pebble has been working her courage up each trip here when it comes to the zip line. She is good at holding on as the disc zips down the line, but she just can’t get herself up on the disc to start the run. Like last time, Pebble brought her bike, but she didn’t want to bike on the ramps of the bike course. Instead, she was happy to zoom up and down the small hills of the cement skateboard track, and she was not the only kid repurposing the skateboard track. It is a perfect oval track for kids to get their biking legs on.

I didn’t see any changes to the playground since our last visit. I do think the new signage near the road has been helping to bring more people to this park, though, as the place was hopping! At least the playground is large enough for kiddos to spread out, and Pebble was very patient waiting for her turn on the zip line. It was a fun little outing… Please check out Horsepen Park! Happy trails!
